A young jogger, Sara, arrives at her favorite jogging spot. As she pulls in with her car, she hears a news bulletin about a mental patient, Jack LaMont, who escaped during the night and is heading here from Berkshire County. Sara scoffs that unless Jack is a marathon runner, there’s no way he could make the distance. She dismisses the idea not knowing she is in for the run of her life.
