Composer Peter Davison lives in the peaceful mountain village of Idyllwild, California. With photography of Idyllwild by Lissa Evans, Kathy Harmon-Luber, Erin O’Neill and Peter Davison, this dramatic rock music takes you on a journey through Idyllwild’s forest and mountains and its many moods. Peter Davison has written a poem, on which the music for “Timberline” has been based, included below. Individual lines from the poem are presented the in film/video at the spots where the images and music describe the poetic line. The 8:26 video is part of a 50 minute film/video; 6 pieces, each with a poem and each describing (with different photography) places and the “vibe” of Idyllwild. The music was released on Davison’s latest CD, “Music from the Heart of the Forest” and the complete 50 minute DVD release (same title as the CD) contains all the music from the CD. Timberline My soul journeys To where the air is clear Above the timber line To the home of the seer Always waiting For my spirit To begin to hear I hear you spirit Your message so simple and clear This is now This is all This is life This is love!
