Desakan Dewasa is a tale of Asib having to face adulthood before his time. He has a deep desire to go to school and learn like any other children his age but fate take a cruel turn on him; as he had to fend for himself and grandmother. His grandmother is disabled due to tragic accident that took both of Asib’s parent lives and her ability to walk. The unfortunate accident left Asib take care for his grandmother and himself.

Life goes on and Asib works at a sundry shop earns him just enough for daily expenses. Abang Salleh, his employer hires him out of sympathy; not that he really needs Asib’s help considering he is still a child. Abang Salleh originates from Acheh and inherits the shop from his late father who then came to Malaysia for a better life; hence life has always been easy and struggle is a strange word for abang Salleh until the father’s passing. He takes a pity on Asib and decided to hire him despite it is against the law and knowing Asib should be in school studying.

One incident leads to another when the box that contains money was stolen when the sundry shop was under Asib’s supervision.

This is a story of hope and despair, where everyone’s action is based on the merit of desperate acts and needing something.
